His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the University Affairs Council, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, chaired the sixth consultative meeting of university presidents, today in Taif Governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Council, extended his deep thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – for the unlimited support they give to the sector. Education in the Kingdom in general, and university education in particular, stressing that Saudi universities – praise be to God – and thanks to the support of the wise leadership have achieved several achievements in the educational and research aspects, and the development of their financial resources and human capabilities in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Chairman of the Council of Universities Affairs, also welcomed the new university presidents who received the kind confidence in their appointment. They are: Dr. Tarif bin Youssef Al-Amma, President of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Sharekh, President of Qassim University, and Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamim, President of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. Wishing them success in their tasks.

The meeting, which was attended by Their Excellencies the university presidents, discussed a number of issues of concern to the future of universities in line with the goals of the university system and contributes to achieving its future vision.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Education, Chairman of the University Affairs Council, honored their Excellencies the former university presidents, namely: His Excellency Dr. Badran bin Abdul Rahman Al-Omar, former president of King Saud University, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Daoud, former president of Qassim University, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hilal Al-Talhi, president of the University. Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, formerly, Dr. Hana bint Abdullah Al-Naim, former president of King Abdulaziz University (in charge).
